Ten Travel Hacks You Wish You Had Known

If you're like me then you love going on trips but hate getting there. These travel hacks will help you make the most of a bad plane/road trip.

Okay, number 1:

You know that bummer feeling when you get on a long plane flight and they have no TV? Well this hack basically solves that problem. Before trying this hack out, make sure your plane has WiFi available during the flight.
You know that tray table thing? Well it finally comes in handy. Basically you put you phone in a plastic bag, and attach it to that clip that holds the tray table up, so now not only can you watch YouTube, your hands don't have to get tired holding your phone up. (it also makes it waterproof so you don't spill stuff on it!)

Number 2:

I'm pretty sure everyone knows this but it saves you a TON of money. Don't pay for water at the airport, just bring an empty water bottle with you. They won't make you throw out an empty water bottle. They even have water bottle filling stations at some airports, so you don't need to try to us the water fountain.

Number 3:

Have you ever paid for a flight to see you cousin or something and realized the flight costs more than it did last year? So here's the scoop, Airlines and Travel sites know that you want to take the same flight over and over so they raise the flight cost, knowing you'll take the flight anyway. To avoid this simply go into 'private browsing' when you book flights.

Number 4:

Most likely you will bring a few disposable razors on your trip. To keep them from poking you when you reach into your toiletries bag, pipe a line of hot glue across the blade, you can easily peel it off later. Another way to prevent this is to use a binder clip to cover the blade.

Number 5:

If you mark your checked bag as fragile, not only will it be treated better, but it will also come out first. Why? 'Cause they put it on top! Simple but good. 98% guaranteed to work.

Number 6:

Hey glasses people! Even though you will probably be wearing your glasses a lot, bring your glasses case. If you're not a glasses person, bring your Sunglasses case. But not for your glasses, for your cables! This way they are conveniently stored. You can also use those twist ties from the grocery store to wrap your cables.

Number 7:

You know that moment when you get back from the pool and need to take a shower, so you open up your suitcase and your shampoo bottle leaked all over your stuff?  To prevent this, first take of the lid. Then, get some saran wrap, and put it over the hole, screw the lid back on and this should prevent leakage.

Number 8:

Water shoes can be expensive so to save money go to the store, and buy some beeswax. When you get home, rub it all over a pair of shoes. This should waterproof them.

Number 9:

Going through security can be a drag. My first tip for you is to get Pre-Check. It's pretty easy and saves you tons of time. If you're not up for that, chose the left line when going through security. Because most people are right handed, they immediately go to the right, so the left line will be shorter.

Number 10:

Don't waste room in your suitcase if your hotel gives it to you for FREE. When you're done with your trip round up all those bottles and soaps, and put them in a plastic bag to take home. They're less than three ounces, so you can take them home to use.
